After spreading throughout Europe from Macedonia this moth became established in the UK around 2002. Its larvae are very evident on Horse Chestnut leaves by the brown trails they make as they mine through the leaves.

Caution there is a fungus which shows similar browning of Horse Chestnut leaves.

Europe (first recorded Macedonia)
Location:
Throughout Southern UK wherever host species are present.
Status:
Appears to be steadily increasing

Comments:
The larvae cause unsightly marks on Horse Chestnut leaves, we are still unsure if this will lead to long term damage to the trees.
