Very common species in the UK in parks and gardens. It is a serious pest in plant nurseries particularly under glass. If your Hostas are being regularly munched by slugs this is a very strong contender for the role of culprit.
It can lay around 30 eggs a week these take 2 weeks to hatch and reach sexual maturity in around eight weeks.
